Westland Milk Rail Siding Works

This project involved constructing a 100m long by 3m wide concrete slab and retaining wall in close proximity to an existing rail line and overhead powerlines at the Westland Milk Factory in Hokitika. The work was being done because the factory was designing a new train for picking up / dropping off of milk products and required a new pad to match the design of the train.

The project also involved the installation of 4 new yard sumps, 2 new manholes. Laying 99m of Ø150mm stainless steel trade waste pipe and 12m of 50mm stainless steel pipe. A 100m long concrete retaining wall was built along the back of the pad and 100m of nib kerb was hand boxed along the front.
