Our quarrying history started back in 1957 when Sir Neil Isaac was tendering for the construction of Memorial Avenue in Christchurch. Sir Neil decided he would source the material from his property for the project, and we've been quarrying on site ever since.
The quarry has grown to what we know it as today and in 2014 after the Canterbury Earthquakes a decision was made to invest in a major upgrade to the plant to satisfy demand. Investment is important to us in both the equipment we operate but more importantly the environment we live in. For this reason after excavating and processing the material we establish the area back into conservation areas such as waterways, native planting, native animal breeding facilities or productive farm land. We have a long term restoration program for the Isaac property to help preserve the Canterbury landscape for both us and our future generations through the Isaac Conservation & Wildlife Trust.
Our quarry product ranges include concrete aggregates and sand, asphalt, roading, drainage aggregates, ice grit, cement stabilised products though to screened topsoil. We do sell direct to the public but operate on a cash only payment system. Repeat buyers are welcome to set up an account with us for ease of ordering.
Isaac also operates a cleanfill site for our account holders which takes natural hardfill as well as clean construction and demolition material such as concrete, bricks and tiles.
All enquiries are welcome directly to our weighbridge, including current price list requests.
