We're working with Orion to install a new underground 66kV power cable between the Milton Street substation and the Halswell substation on Sparks Road to strengthen the electricity network.

We'll be working in 7 stages to minimise disruption. Stage 1 will begin on April 28, between Colombo Street and Strickland Street. We'll then work our way along Milton Street, Frankleigh Street and Sparks Road towards the Halswell substation.

To do this work safely traffic management will be in place. This will involve a one-way system and closures on some streets.
