We'll be working at the intersection in the evening on Sunday 12 April and Monday 13 April 2026.

Main works

From the evening of Sunday 19 April 2026, we'll be upgrading the signals at the Glandovey Road, Heaton Street, Rossall Street, and Strowan Road intersection. We'll be working in the evenings for the first three weeks of the project and will work during the day for the following two weeks.

Main works - traffic impacts

We'll be working in the evening from Sunday 19 April through to Friday 8 May. Between 7pm and 6am, Strowan Road will close at the intersection.

Why are we working in the evening?

We're undertaking three weeks of night works to support the traffic signal upgrade at the intersection.

Working at night allows us to reduce traffic impacts on the wider network, shorten our programme, and reduce the risk to both crews and road users.

From the evening of Sunday, 1 February, we’ll be upgrading the signals at the Idris Road and Wairakei Road intersection. We’ll be working in the evenings for the first 4 nights of the project. We’ll also be working during the day from Monday, 2 February 2026 through to Friday, 13 March 2026.
