The third annual Crusaders Dig-Off was held at the Gough Component Rebuild Centre in Christchurch on Thursday Night on 11/5/2017. Local Canterbury machine operators were nominated by their employers, and paired together with Crusaders rugby players to complete a series of challenges involving five tonne Cat 305E2CR mini excavators and rugby balls in the shortest time possible. Isaac Construction nominees where Darryl Eathorne who was paired with Crusader Mitchell Drummond and Tim Tihema who was paired with Crusader Richie Mo’unga.
The fastest individual operator was awarded to Tim Tihema of Isaac Construction.
