Work has been underway at several locations around the stadium since August 2024. Works include upgrading the watermains and wastewater network, widening footpaths, landscaping, improving pedestrian crossings, and changing the travel direction of Lichfield Street and Tuam Street, east of the stadium.

Works are happening on

• Barbadoes Street (between Hereford Street and Tuam Street)
• Madras Street (Hereford Street to Moorhouse Avenue, including intersections)
• Lichfield Street (working from Madras Street towards Manchester Street)
• Lichfield Street (Barbadoes Street to Fitzgerald Avenue including the intersection)
• Tuam Street (near the Madras Street intersection, continuing east to Barbadoes Street and across the intersection with Fitzgerald Avenue)
• Ash Street (off Madras Street).

Traffic impacts

• Most of our work will take place between 7am - 7pm, Monday to Friday, with some work taking place on weekends as required
• At times, night work may be required. You will receive further notification from us prior to this happening
• Temporary traffic management (road cones, signs) will be installed as part of the works. Please follow all signage and instructions from our team onsite
• There may be some traffic delays.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites. Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
