Hours of work for the duration of this project will be from 7am – 6pm Monday through to Saturday. The construction works is planned from the 11th of October until mid-December.

Access to the mall and businesses will remain in place. The entrance to the Palms Mall off New Brighton Road will be closed at stages to allow works to be completed. In this case we will require mall users to access the mall using the other remaining entrances on Marshlands and Golf Links Road. The bus lane and pedestrian walkway will be closed on New Brighton Road from Marshlands Road to the Palms entrance for the first stage of the works. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be set up to detour pedestrians through the mall carpark.

Access to residents’ driveways will be maintained at all times.

A section of the Palms mall car park on the corner of Marshlands and New Brighton Road will become a gated worksite. There will be limited and restricted car parking in this area of the carpark. Work vehicles will access this area of the mall. Although this will be safely managed by onsite staff, please be aware there may be additional traffic in this area during working hours.

There will be increased noise, dust, and vibration levels as a result of our work.

Work will have no impact on current power, telecommunications or gas services; however, the network is still fragile so please be prepared in case there is an unexpected service cut off.

Rubbish and recycling will not change, please put bins out in the usual spots by 5:00pm the night before collection, our crews will move and return them if need be.

Safety is our number one priority. Safety is also your responsibility too. Stay clear and stay alert, please keep children and pets a safe distance from any work site.
