Like any construction company, our shop window is the projects that we are involved in. From the initial planning to the final handover our work is very visible, ensuring that everything we do is in keeping with our values. We are very proud of the work we are doing, some of which is listed below.
We are carrying out important upgrade works along Marine Parade, improving both the underground infrastructure and the streetscape. These works are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the resilience and appearance of the area, ensuring Marine Parade continues to serve the local community well into the future.
We're working to install two new sets of traffic signals on Harewood Road, at the Breens Road and Gardiners Road intersection and outside Harewood School, which will improve safety for all road users.
We're working with Orion to install a new underground 66kV power cable between the Milton Street substation and the Halswell substation on Sparks Road. This is a long-term project to strengthen the electricity network.
Work is about to get under way in early 2025 on constructing the most northern section of the Nor'West Arc Te Ara O-Rakipaoa cycleway. We're also completing wastewater pipe renewals in the area and upgrading the stormwater and water supply networks.
To support the growing south-east central neighbourhood and to get ready for One New Zealand Stadium to open in 2026, we are upgrading the water infrastructure and transport network in the area.
The construction of the new Nelson Bus Hub is about to begin. it will be the home of the eBus, as well as Intercity, school buses and regional minibuses (taking Customers to Golden Bay and the National Parks).
Sheltered waiting areas (both inside and outside) will be provided, and bus users will be assisted with audio and visual communication. New landscaping and furniture will enhance the area, and new concrete pavement will provide a resilient space for all our busses.
